PyKota NEWS :

    - 1.20alpha3 :
       
        - Small improvement in PostScript parser to avoid being
          fooled by a change in number of copies : 
          The user can't ask for 200 copies of page 1 and 1 copy 
          of page 2 to fool PyKota anymore : 
          this would have been accounted for as 1 copy only, but
          now the maximum value seen is used.
          
        - Relax checks for PCL5 header to accomodate some strange
          printer drivers.
          
        - Now hardware accounting method works like software
          accounting method wrt the subprocess' output.
          
        - Hardware and Software accounting stop the print queue  
          when the accounting subprocess didn't work. This will

        - the newuser and newgroup LDAP specific directives now accept
          a second parameter to attach(), "fail" or "warn". If no entry
          is found to attach PyKota attributes to, and "fail" was used,
          then action is aborted and program exits in error. If "warn"
          is used, a new entry is created but a warning message is logged.
          
        - The job's originating hostname is now stored in the database,
          and exported as PYKOTAJOBORIGINATINGHOSTNAME in the environment.

        - The old pykota filter is now removed. This means that
          currently PyKota doesn't support LPRng anymore, but

          We unconditionnally set the last job's page count to 
          abs(int((10 - abs(lastcounter(snmp) - lastcounter(storage)) / 2))
          in this case. 
          For a more accurate accounting, never switch your HP printers
          off.

          page counter (reset to 0 every time you switch the printer on)
          This should allow PyKota to work reasonably fine with HP Laserjet
          4L/5L/6L, not perfect, but better than nothing.
